VOCU Bargaining Update 11- Last Offer Vote Results

After the resounding 100% strike vote, your employer contacted the Labour Relations Board (LRB) and filed a Section 78 application for a Last Offer vote. The voting took place from 12:00pm on November 25 until 12:00pm on November 26, 2020.

As directed by the Labour Relations Board, MoveUP members were given the opportunity to review the detailed contents of their last offer which was received during our last day of mediation on November 4, 2020.

We have received confirmation that the results of the Last Offer vote have been counted and we are beyond pleased to say that every single vote cast rejected the employer’s last offer.

Your union applauds your solidarity. We asked you to vote how you feel, to vote for what you felt you were worth and you’ve told us what we already know; you are all worth more than 2%.

In the coming days, your union hopes that the results of the 100% strike vote, as well as the 100% rejection of the employer’s last offer, will now open the doors to a more productive discussion with the employer.
