VOCU – Bargaining Update #5

To: All MoveUP Members at VOCU
Further to our last bulletin, we have met with the employer twice this week and will meet one more day next week. Your bargaining team will provide the employer with their availability for the month of April in hope of a change in the employer’s availability.
To recapitulate our progress, we have been successful at signing off on some non-monetary proposals and have made modest monetary gains for you. Your monetary priorities are clear to your bargaining team – wage increases, improved retirement planning and benefit improvements. Your bargaining team has decisively discussed these proposals with the employer for the last three sessions and will continue to do so.
We will be looking for your support as we converse these more difficult bargaining subjects with your employer. Kindly make sure your personal email address is current, so that you can receive future bulletins. Your bargaining team will update you as we make progress or have pertinent issues.
