UWU – BCGEU – Bargaining Update #2

To: All MoveUP members at the BCGEU
As you may be aware UWU will be conducting a strike vote today that will conclude on Sunday. We should hear from the unit committee with the results early next week. The Employer has applied for mediation with UWU as their bargaining continues. We will be putting out a strike FAQ for our MoveUP members by early next week. This should help answer any questions and alleviate some of your concerns about potential UWU job action. MoveUP and your bargaining committee urge you to stand in solidarity with your UWU colleagues and show a unified front as we head into our own bargaining later this year.
