Update on SR Day Grievance
September 27, 2017
To: Customer Information Clerks, Customer Information WL, Security Operations Coordinators, Transit Security Officers
It has been brought to our attention that some members were not receiving our bulletins on their work email address. We discussed this with the TransLink Service Desk and we were told that the Employer created a rule which was blocking our communications. The rule has been removed and we have been ensured that these sorts of incidents will not continue. Please let us know if you or anyone else is not receiving our bulletins on your work emails.
We have recently received some requests for updates on the SR Days grievance. Your union has brought this grievance forward to arbitration, per our last bulletin. It is currently being arbitrated and is being heard by Arbitrator Mark Brown.
We do anticipate a decision in time for the 2018 annual vacation sign-up. Once that decision is received, we will notify you and you should anticipate that SR Days for 2018 will be handled in accordance with that decision.
