Bargaining

TransLink – Bargaining Bulletin – Update #4

October 22, 2020

To: All MoveUP members at TransLink

Your bargaining committee sincerely appreciates all the hard work the entire membership has been performing to keep the transit system in the lower mainland operational during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Your bargaining committee has met several times over the last 3 weeks to discuss and table “working from home language” for your new collective agreement. The parties have made substantive gains in agreeing to language for this provision. However, there remains some pieces your bargaining committee wants the employer to include in this provision. We understand that this issue is critical for our membership and we remain committed to negotiating the best deal for our membership.

We sincerely appreciate everyone’s patience in this unique round of virtual bargaining. We hope to provide you with further updates as they become available. Please feel free to contact members of your bargaining committee if you have any questions.

In Solidarity,

Your Bargaining Committee:

Parm Sandhar, Union Representative
Safar Aikhani, Executive Board Member
Jennifer Froese, Executive Councillor
