To: All MoveUP members at TRGM
Since January 22nd when your employer declared that an impasse had been reached at bargaining, your union and employer have been in conversation regarding reaching a deal and were able to resolve some of the outstanding items including benefits and bereavement leave.
However, some key items still remain outstanding including bullying and harassment language, wages, vacation, holiday closure and the duration of the contract.
On February 21, your employer filed for mediation with the Labour Relations Board. The board has appointed mediator Fazal Bhimji to the file, and the parties will soon be setting a date to come together to try to reach an agreement.
Your union is optimistic that this process will result in a signed collective agreement and we will continue to keep the membership updated.
