Teletheatre BC – Further Details on Section 54 Meeting

To: All MoveUP members at TBC Teletheatre

Further to the Section 54 meeting held recently with the employer, the following terms have been agreed to with respect to the closure of operations at Chilliwack:
 

  1. Severance as per the terms and conditions of LOU #3 of the collective agreement will be paid to all employees who complete service until December 31, 2017.
     
  2. The Employer will provide the services of an Employment Agency with respect to assistance with resume writing and job search.
     
  3. The Employer has canvassed job opportunities within the Chilliwack area and is prepared to assist employees with connections and opportunities for employment after December 31, 2017.
     
  4. Reference letters will be provided to all employees.

It is unfortunate that the employer has chosen to use an automated system for delivery of customer service.
