The Reach Gallery Museum – Bargaining Update #3

To: All MoveUP members at TRGM
Your bargaining committee met with your employer on November 28th, 2023, and January 22nd, 2024 to continue negotiations. During these meetings, there were exchanges regarding both non-monetary and monetary items.
Negotiations were planned to continue January 24th, however, your employer declared that ‘impasse’ had been reached and that the parties were too far apart, so further negotiations have been cancelled.
The primary areas of disagreement are wages, benefits, bereavement leave, vacation and the closure between Christmas and New Year’s Day. The parties have also been unable to agree on language around bullying and harassment, seniority application, and notice for changes in schedule.
We are therefore calling a membership meeting and your attendance is critical as important decisions will be made regarding the next steps at bargaining that will impact your wages and benefits.
