Bargaining

***REMINDER*** ICBC – Job Steward Bargaining Preparation Meetings

November 19, 2021

To: All MoveUP members at ICBC

As you know, our collective agreement expires on June 30, 2022. The process of preparing for collective bargaining has already begun at MoveUP.

Just as we did three years ago, we are planning full day meetings with all our job stewards and councillors in December and January. We will be discussing what it means to be in collective bargaining, how the bargaining process works, and what you can expect over the next while.

These meetings are for all stewards, and we encourage you to sign up, attend and participate.

Preparing for Your Session

You should arrive with three items that you want to see addressed in the next round of bargaining. Along with the problem, bring a solution, or optional solutions. Remember, you know the work, which means you also know the solutions.

Be prepared to discuss your ideas and the ideas of your fellow stewards. These sessions are for us to work as a team, and to help set the direction of bargaining.

Each session will go from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

1.     November 30 – Kelowna

This session is intended for job stewards from Kamloops, Salmon Arm, Vernon, Kelowna and Penticton. Anyone travelling from Kamloops or Salmon Arm is entitled to accommodation for the night of November 29.
