PrairieCoast – Group Grievance Update #2

To: All MoveUP members at PCE
As you know, on July 26 your Union filed a grievance against your Employer for failing to implement the new wages agreed to at bargaining, and on August 22 the parties met to discuss.
On September 6 your Employer provided a response that indicated that they do not believe a final collective agreement is in place. We disagree with their position given that the Employer made an offer via email which the Union accepted, and the membership subsequently ratified.
Your Union has now moved the case to the next stage under the grievance process which is arbitration. Your Union additionally filed for expedited arbitration with the Labour Relations Board to ensure that this matter is heard in a timely manner.
