PrairieCoast Equipment – Retroactive Pay

To: All MoveUP members at PCE
This is an update regarding the retroactive pay and wage increases agreed to at bargaining. Your employer met with the union on Friday to discuss implementation of the provisions of the collective agreement.
Your employer has advised that both retroactive pay and wage increases will be processed with your next pay cheque, pay period ending November 11, 2023. The retroactive pay dates back to ratification, June 24, 2023 until present.
Please note that union dues of 1.5% will begin to be deducted on this pay cheque and will apply to the retroactive pay amounts. Union dues will not be charged for wages earned from June 24 until October 28 (beyond the percentage charged against the retroactive amount).
Members who worked from June 24 to present will be entitled to retroactive pay if the agreed upon wages are higher than their current wages are. This includes members who no longer work for PrairieCoast, but worked between June 24 and now.
Your employer is also working on implementing other new provisions such as breaks, RRSP contributions, vacation entitlements and setting up committees.
