Notice of By-Election – Nominations Open – Executive Councillor #1634 and #1635
March 6, 2019
To: All MoveUP Members at ICBC in EC #1634/1635 Area
(EC #1634 and #1635 are at-large positions representing all members at the ICBC Central Estimating Facility)
Term Ending: April 30, 2020
In accordance with the constitution, we are running a by-election for the above councillor positions. Duties of the executive council are detailed in article 7.4 of the constitution.
As an executive councillor in your workplace, you are the spokesperson for your union. You are a vital link between the membership and the elected leadership. You, along with other job stewards, speak for your fellow members in the day to day relations between our union and management. In addition, you attend five executive council meetings a year where you can participate in the direction and decision making of your union.
