Notice of By-Election – ICBC Executive Councillor #1640

To: All MoveUP Members at ICBC in EC #1635 - #1641 Area
(EC #1635 to #1641 are at-large positions representing all members at ICBC – Surrey Guildford Corporate Center. EC positions #1635 to #1639 are currently filled)
Term Ending: April 30, 2020
In accordance with the constitution, we are running a by-election for the above councillor position. Duties of the executive council are detailed in article 7.4 of the constitution.
As an executive councillor in your workplace, you are the spokesperson for your union. You are a vital link between the membership and the elected leadership. You, along with other job stewards, speak for your fellow members in the day to day relations between our union and management. In addition you attend five executive council meetings a year where you can participate in the direction and decision making of your union.
Addison Smith has submitted a nomination form for the above position. If there are no other nominations received by 4:30pm on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, Addison Smith will be declared the successful candidate.
