NOTICE OF BY-ELECTION – Executive Councillor Areas #1203 – #1205

To: All Members in EC Areas #1203 - #1205
EC Areas #1203 – #1205 represents members employed at BC Hydro at Dunsmuir 1st Floor to 17th Floor, ESC Leave Admin, members employed at Accenture Dunsmuir 11th Floor.
There are three at-large positions in these EC areas. Two of these councillor positions are currently filled.
Term Ending: April 30, 2023
In accordance with the constitution, we are running a by-election for the above councillor position. Duties of the executive council are detailed in article 7.4 of the constitution.
As an executive councillor in your workplace, you are the spokesperson for your union. You are a vital link between the membership and the elected leadership. You, along with other job stewards, speak for your fellow members in the day to day relations between our union and management. In addition, you attend five executive council meetings a year where you can participate in the direction and decision making of your union. You can find more detailed information on your role in the Executive Councillor Handbook, which is available on the resources page for stewards and councillors of our website.
VANESSA SHARMA has submitted a nomination form for the above position. If there are no other nominations received by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, July 8, 2022, Vanessa Sharma will be declared the successful candidate.
