NOTICE OF BY-ELECTION – Executive Councillor Area #1672

To: All MoveUP Members in EC area # 1672
EC Area #1669-1672 represents members employed at ICBC at Operations and McKenzie DSC in Victoria. Area Councillors for #1669-1671 are currently filled.
Term Ending: April 30, 2020
In accordance with the constitution, we are running a by-election for the above councillor position. Duties of the executive council are detailed in article 7.4 of the constitution.
As an executive councillor in your workplace, you are the spokesperson for your union. You are a vital link between the membership and the elected leadership. You, along with other job stewards, speak for your fellow members in the day to day relations between our union and management. In addition, you attend five executive council meetings a year where you can participate in the direction and decision making of your union.
DON KENNEDY has submitted a nomination form for the above position. If there are no other nominations received by 4:30 pm on Friday, July 27, 2018, Don Kennedy will be declared the successful candidate.
