NOTICE OF BY-ELECTION – Executive Councillor Area #1640

To: All MoveUP members working in EC Area #1640
EC Area #1640 represents members employed at ICBC at Surrey Claims Centre, Surrey Dean Centre
Term Ending: April 30, 2023
Due to the relocation of Ophelia Lee and in accordance with the constitution, we are running a by-election for the above councillor position.
As an executive councillor in your workplace, you are the spokesperson for your union. You are a vital link between the membership and the elected leadership. You, along with other job stewards, speak for your fellow members in the day to day relations between our union and management. In addition, you attend five executive council meetings a year where you can participate in the direction and decision making of your union. You can find more detailed information on your role in the Executive Councillor Handbook which is available on the resources page for stewards and councillors of our website.

Deadline for nominations to be received by the Returning Officer by email is 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2022.
