Notice of By-Election – Executive Councillor Area # 1458

To all MoveUP members in EC Area # 1458
EC Area # 1455 – 1458 represents members employed at Coast Mountain Bus Company. There are four at-large positions of which three are currently filled.
Term Ending: April 30, 2020
In accordance with the constitution, we are running a by-election for the above councillor position. Duties of the executive council are detailed in article 7.4 of the MoveUP constitution.
As an executive councillor in your workplace, you are a spokesperson for your union. You are a vital link between the membership and the elected leadership. You, along with other job stewards, speak for your fellow members in the day to day relations between our union and management. In addition, you attend five executive council meetings a year where you can participate in the direction and decision making of your union.
VIVIAN HO has submitted a nomination for the above position. If there are no other nominations received by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, Vivian Ho will be declared the successful candidate.
