NOTICE OF BY-ELECTION – Executive Councillor Area #1219

To: All MoveUP members at EC Area #1219
EC Area #1219 represents members employed at BC Hydro at LMS-1, LMS-1 CIB, LMS-1 Lineroom, LMS-2, LMS-Admin, LMS-CS & Design and SNC-Lavalin-John Hart Campbell River.
Term Ending: April 30, 2023
In accordance with the constitution, we are running a by-election for the above councillor position. Duties of the executive council are detailed in article 7.4 of the constitution.
As an executive councillor in your workplace, you are the spokesperson for your union. You are a vital link between the membership and the elected leadership. You, along with other job stewards, speak for your fellow members in the day to day relations between our union and management. In addition, you attend five executive council meetings a year where you can participate in the direction and decision making of your union.

STEVE THIND has submitted a nomination form for the above position. If there are no other nominations received by 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2021, Steve Thind will be declared the successful candidate.
