Notice of By-Election – Executive Councillor #1638

To: All MoveUP Members at ICBC in EC 1635-1641 Area
(EC 1635 to 1641 are at-large positions representing all ICBC members at Guildford Corporate Center. EC positions 1635 to 1637, 1639, and 1640 are currently filled.)
Term Ending: April 30, 2020
In accordance with the constitution, we are running a by-election for the above councillor position. Duties of the executive council are detailed in article 7.4 of the constitution.
As an executive councillor in your workplace, you are the spokesperson for your union. You are a vital link between the membership and the elected leadership. You, along with other job stewards, speak for your fellow members in the day-to-day relations between our union and management. In addition, you attend five executive council meetings a year where you can participate in the direction and decision making of your union.
Greg Cordick has submitted a nomination form for the above position. If there are no other nominations received by 4:30pm on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, Greg Cordick will be declared the successful candidate.
