Notice of By-Election – Executive Board Member – ICBC

To: All Executive Council and Board Members at ICBC
Term Ending: August 31, 2021
Due to the resignation of Melissa Maher (effective February 16) and in accordance with our constitution, we will be running a by-election for this vacant executive board position. As outlined in our constitution article 10.7b (ii), the election will take place at the next meeting of the executive council on March 1, 2021.
Only executive council and executive board members from ICBC, and in attendance at this meeting, are eligible to vote. This election will be held by electronic ballot through your Member Portal on the MoveUP website.
How to Stand for Nomination
Those councillors in attendance will have the opportunity to stand for nomination as part of the council agenda. No nomination paperwork will be required.
If only one candidate is nominated at the meeting, that candidate will be acclaimed. Should more than one nomination be received, an election will be held later on the same day.
How to Vote
Balloting will take place on March 1, 2021 from 1:00-1:30 p.m.
Eligible voters will vote through the MoveUP Member Portal.
Results will be announced at the council meeting.
The electronic ballot will be accessed through your personal Member Portal. If you have not yet registered for your Member Portal you can find the link here. You will need your MoveUP member ID number and a personal email address to register.
When the election is open you will log into your Member Portal and will see the VOTE option right in front of you. This method of voting is secure and confidential.
If you are using the Member Portal regularly to access your executive council documents, this process will be seamless for you. However, if you are unsure about how to access your Member Portal, we recommend you sign in once more, no later than Friday, February 26. If you encounter any issues about the Member Portal or need your membership ID number, contact membership@moveuptogether.ca.
