Notice of By-Election – Executive Councillor #1543

To: All MoveUP Members at TransLink
Term Ending: April 30, 2020
(Executive councillors #1542 and 1543 are at-large position representing all members at TransLink. EC #1542 is currently filled)
Due to the election of Safar Alikhani as an executive board member, and in accordance with the constitution, we are running a by-election for the above councillor position. Duties of the executive council are detailed in article 7.4 of the constitution.
As an executive councillor in your workplace, you are the spokesperson for your union. You are a vital link between the membership and the elected leadership. You, along with other job stewards, speak for your fellow members in the day to day relations between our union and management. In addition you attend five executive council meetings a year where you can participate in the direction and decision making of your union.
Deadline for nominations to be received at the union office is 4:30pm on Thursday, March 15, 2018.
