MoveUP Youth Members – Register for BCFED Young Workers’ School at Camp Jubilee

Sisters and brothers:
The BCFED’s Young Workers’ School at Camp Jubilee for workers 30 years of age or under will be held from September 14 to 16, 2018.
The Youth Action Committee would like to send young MoveUP members to this popular retreat. We have a limited number of spaces available. If you are interested in registering, please fill out the registration survey form here and return to the committee no later than noon on July 4th.
MoveUP will cover the cost of camp registration, which will include meals and accommodations, as well as providing leave of absence. As per our MoveUP policy, leaves of absence apply to your work schedule. We will reach out to you should you be selected to attend. Successful applicants will be required to pay a $50 registration fee that is fully refunded after the completion of the workshop.
There are always lots of fun outdoor activities for attendees and is a great opportunity to meet with other participants from around the province.
Attendees can choose one of this year’s courses including:
- Health and safety: Bullying and harassment in the workplace
- Stepping up: Ready to run for a leadership position in your union or community? Learn the critical aspects of putting together a campaign to win.
- Labour history through an equity lens
- Introduction to unions and the labour movement
- Facilitation skills – leading workshops that kick ass!
- Special project: Promoting the labour movement through video
Note that you will be required to sign a code of conduct and waiver once registered.
Further details will be provided closer to the camp start date.
