MoveUP Job Stewards: Your Re-Confirmation to Remain a Job Steward Is Required!

Attention all Job Stewards
MoveUP requires all job stewards to re-affirm their wish to remain a job steward at the time of the executive councillor elections.
Article 8.2 (c) of the Constitution states:
Job Stewards take office at the Executive Council election and hold office until the next Executive Council election, they resign, or they are removed from office for cause. Job Steward positions may be filled at any time between elections through the process above.
If you are currently a job steward and wish to be considered for the next three-year term then you must complete and return the attached form to the MoveUP office before the deadline of 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2020. You can email the form to Joanne or send by fax to her attention at 604-299-8211.
Job stewards that do not return the form by the given deadline will have their status as a job steward removed as of May 1, 2020. Notification that you are no longer a job steward will be provided to your employer.
Whether you were appointed in late 2019 or as recently as January and February 2020, you are still required to complete the re-confirmation form and return by the deadline in order to be re-appointed.
Executive councillors who wish to be considered for the position of job steward should also complete this form in the event they are not successfully elected. Returning this form will indicate your desire to be considered for appointment to be a job steward.
