MoveUP 2021 General Election – Acclaimed and Contested Positions Going to a Vote

The deadline for nominations to fill the positions of president, secretary-treasurer and executive board members was Monday, July 19, 2021 at 4:30 p.m.
Of the 17 executive board office positions, there are six who have been acclaimed and 11 positions that are contested and require a vote. Check the complete list here to see all acclaimed officers as well as those positions that are up for election.
Candidate information including bios and/or photos, if provided, will be posted at MoveUPTogether.ca/election2021 by the end of this week for your information. Please note that candidate information, as well as voting information details, will also be available in print format as part of the upcoming edition of the Local Voice.
If you are a member in a constituency that is going to a vote, please ensure you have registered for a Member Portal account no later than 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2021. All voting will be done online through the Member Portal. You can find out more on how to register here.
Online voting for contested positions will begin 8:30 a.m. on Monday, August 9, 2021 and will end on Monday, August 30, 2021 at 4:30 p.m.
If you are a candidate facing an election, you may request a list of members and contact information in your constituency by logging onto the Member Portal, filling out a confidentiality form, and then submitting it to membership@moveuptogether.ca.
