Konica Minolta Business Solutions – Job Action and Bargaining Update

To: All MoveUP members at Konica Minolta Business Solutions


Hello Members,

Since our last bargaining sessions with the employer on April 9 and 10, your bargaining committee has continued to engage in discussions, and exchanging proposals via email on three occasions.

At this point, the only outstanding issue is wages. In this economy, where the cost of everything is going up, fairness at the bargaining table matters more than ever. The employer’s proposal doesn’t reflect that reality — and we won’t endorse a deal that leaves our members falling behind.

We have mediation scheduled later this month at the Labour Relations Board. Your bargaining committee will fully participate  in that process in good faith, with the goal of reaching a fair agreement that we can confidently bring back to you for ratification.

In the meantime, we need your continued solidarity:

  • Keep up the uniform ban — it sends a strong, visible message.
  • Stay engaged in the leafletting campaign — maintaining public and customer support is critical.

Should mediation not produce a fair settlement, additional job action may be necessary. If that becomes the case, your job action committee will provide clear and timely updates on next steps.

We deeply appreciate your strength, unity, and commitment to winning the fair contract you deserve.
