Kelowna Cabs – Lockout Update #2

To: All MoveUP members at Kelowna Cabs

We understand the employer’s lockout has caused much uncertainty in your life and appreciate your solidarity while we address the employer’s violations, and engage the community to keep your job local.

Your union and the employer were at the board hearing on March 5 and 11, 2021. Given your union’s undisputed evidence, Vice Chair Matthews found that the employer breached several provisions of the Labour Relations Code. We are seeking clarification on the remainder of his decision. Once we receive further information from the Board, we will provide you an update.
