Kekinow Native Housing Society – Bargaining Update

To: All MoveUP members at Kekinow Native Housing Society
We are pleased to announce that the Employer and the Union have reached a tentative agreement. Your bargaining committee is recommending acceptance of the tentative agreement and some of the highlights include:
- 2 Year Collective Agreement
- $400.00 Relief BSW Signing Bonus
- $800.00 Signing Bonus for all other employees
- An additional 0.5% wage increase at ratification, in addition to the 1.5% wage increase effective April 1, 2021
- 2% increase on April 1, 2022, 2% wage increase on April 1, 2023
- NIPD and NDTR statutory holiday recognition
- No more “oncall” requirement for Holiday Closure leave
- More vacation, sooner in your tenure
- Increased severance pay
- Detailed bullying and harassment protections

We will be holding a meeting on November 24, 2021 in order to review the tentative agreement with you.
