Job Stewards: Register for Re-appointment Now!

To: All MoveUP Job Stewards, Executive Board Members and Executive Councillors
Term Ending: April 30, 2026
Job stewards are an essential part of our union and we are so grateful for the work that you have done to represent our union and support our members over this past three-year term.
We want to invite you now to request to be re-appointed as a job steward for the upcoming term ending April 30, 2026. The deadline for registration is 4:30 p.m. PT on Friday, April 28, 2023.
MoveUP requires all job stewards to confirm their wish to remain a job steward at the time of the executive councillor triennial elections.
If you were appointed on or after May 1, 2020, you are required to submit your request using the survey link found here by the deadline to confirm your interest to remain a job steward for another three-year term.
Article 8.2 (c) of the MoveUP Constitution states that:
Job Stewards take office at the Executive Council election and hold office until the next Executive Council election, they resign or they are removed from office under Article 16.
Job Steward positions may be filled at any time between elections through the process above.
The deadline to complete your registration survey is 4:30 p.m. PT on Friday, April 28, 2023.
Job stewards who do not complete the registration survey by the deadline will have their status as a job steward removed as of May 1, 2023. At that time, we will notify your employer that you are no longer a job steward.
