Job Steward Status as of May 1, 2023 Notification

May 5, 2023

To: Former Job Stewards

In conjunction with the 2023 triennial executive councillor elections, we asked all job stewards whose term was up on April 30, 2023 to re-confirm their intent to remain a job steward for another three-year term.

We are reaching out to you at this time as you either have advised us you were no longer able to continue as a job steward or you did not complete the registration survey by the April 28, 2023 deadline (see MoveUP bulletin dated March 17th  entitled “Job Stewards: Register for Re-appointment Now!). This signifies your status as a MoveUP job steward has ended as of April 30, 2023.

We will be advising your employer of your revised status in the coming days.

If you missed the deadline in error and wish to remain a job steward you can be appointed by reaching out to your vice-president to make the request.

All appointments going forward need to be made through the formal process, which is to contact your unit vice-president and ask to be appointed as a job steward. The vice-president will make the appointment request at the next scheduled executive board meeting, which is May 25. Any requests received after this board meeting date will be put forward for approval at the next scheduled board meeting in June.

The email addresses for the three vice presidents are linked below at the bottom of this bulletin. All new appointments will end on April 30, 2026.

In Solidarity.

Lori Mayhew,
MoveUP President

Unit Vice Presidents

Rysa Kronebusch, Vice-President, Utilities
Christy Slusarenko, Vice-President, Combined Units
Annette Toth, Vice-President, ICBC
