ISCU Members in Duncan – Job Evaluation & Rotation

To: All MoveUP Members at Island Savings Credit Union in Duncan


At the last two Standing Committee meetings in April and May, your union followed up with the employer on: 1) job rotation, 2) job evaluation and 3) staffing/workload. The employer described their next steps as follows:

  1. The employer has recently implemented a modified job rotation at your office. This rotation aims to improve your team’s overall operational efficiency and coverage on a going forward basis.
  2. The employer’s Total Rewards department started to conduct the in-depth job evaluation on your duties, and this process is to be concluded by September 13, 2023. The employer will share its evaluation report with your Standing Committee members at the next meeting.
  3. The employer shared its 2019-2023 staffing reports and reviewed its overall operational demands at your branch office. No permanent staffing change will be made until the job evaluation concludes and a subsequent operational assessment can be done.
  4. The employer has invested in various mental health management tools and received positive feedback from the membership. You are encouraged to explore those options.
