ICBC: Victoria Information Services Location Move

To: All MoveUP members at ICBC - Victoria Information Services
ICBC has informed us that our members working in Information Services in Victoria at 910 Government Street will be relocating to the Victoria Claims Centre at 425 Dunedin St.
This move is projected to occur by the end of 2026 and will affect 26 MoveUP members. Although the reason they provided was to “allow room for a Driver Licensing modernization project,” what they did not share was that this was code for contractors moving into this space.
We have made it known to your employer that this move negatively impacts you and that many of you are upset by this. With that said, it is ICBC’s prerogative to make changes of this nature at their discretion, but we are continuing to advocate on our members’ behalf when moves of this type are considered. We need ICBC to understand the impact that changes have on our members and to seek alternative solutions where possible to minimize any negative impacts on you.
One benefit of being located at the Victoria Claim Centre is that parking is likely to be free although we understand capacity is limited.
