ICBC United Way campaign continues until October 31

October 24, 2022

To: All MoveUP members at ICBC

The annual ICBC campaign in support of the United Way officially launched on October 19 and we know many of you have already participated in events at your worksite and virtually.

The United Way campaign is very close to the hearts of our MoveUP members and ICBC staff, helping to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars each year to support the United Way and the work they do in communities across BC.

MoveUP, along with the rest of the labour movement, supports the United Way and their efforts to support vulnerable seniors, families, and at-risk youth. For over three decades, the Canadian Labour Congress has been a partner with the United Way, ensuring workers and working families can access social and public service that are accessible, universal and of the highest quality in our communities.

Thank you to everyone who has already shown their Local Love through their generous donations. Your support is helping kick-start another successful campaign which benefits programs in your community focusing on urgent response, children and youth, seniors, poverty, mental health, and food security.

If you have not had a chance to donate, I encourage you to do so now! To donate, head to the homepage of the Hub and click the red ‘donate now’ button to be directed to the United Way Pledge System. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

This year, the campaign at ICBC has a hybrid model with both in-person and virtual events. Volunteers across the province have worked hard to bring events to offices and we encourage you to participate. I want to thank all the ICBC volunteers who have once again dedicated their time, enthusiasm, and energy to help make the 2022 United Way campaign a success!

Thank you again for your ongoing support for the United Way and the critical programs that they support.

In solidarity,

Annette Toth
Vice-President and Campaign co-chair, MoveUP
