ICBC – Musculoskeletal Injury Pain and Discomfort Survey

May 27, 2019

To: MoveUP members at ICBC

We are starting to see a surge in Musculoskeletal injury claims by ICBC employees to Worksafe BC. This trend in very concerning and so we are asking for your feedback to help us get more understanding on what is happening at ICBC.

We know that work processes have changed over time. Technology and systems have also changed at ICBC. Work has moved from paper files to electronic, from being able to get up and move around to being more tied to your desk, computer and phone. We are ‘mousing’ more and interacting with people less.

All of these changes can, over time, have an affect on our health. We need to hear from you if you are suffering from any injuries, pain or discomfort that you attribute to your work at ICBC.

Attached here is the link to an MSI survey. We encourage all members to complete the confidential survey so that we can determine where we have problems and where we don’t. The survey will remain open until Friday, June 14, 2019 at 4:30 pm.
