ICBC-Your hard work makes ICBC a success

To: All MoveUP members at ICBC
Yesterday ICBC announced that, thanks to being in a strong financial position, eligible policy holders will be receiving a $110 rebate. Additionally, there will be no increase to Basic insurance rates for the sixth consecutive year.
Good news announcements like these are only possible because of your hard work and commitment to the people of BC. Whether you work in claims, injury services, insurance, licensing, or road safety, all of you have contributed to ICBC’s success, and for that I want to thank you!
This announcement may mean busier days ahead, for our members who work in Insurance Customer Service and in the Broker Inquiry Unit, as customers call to find out when they can expect their rebate. Please know we are thinking of you and appreciate your efforts to help each person that calls or emails.
Announcements like these remind me how critical it is to have strong, stable public services and crown corporations, especially in a time when everyone is facing cost-of-living challenges. It reminds me why public sector workers, like all of us, are vital to our province and its citizens. And it reminds me, once again, why having governments that value our work and value our contributions are so important.
Thank you again for your dedication, passion, and commitment to the success of ICBC. It has not gone unnoticed.
