Help us promote story encouraging respectful treatment for transit workers

To: All MoveUP members at CMBC & TransLink
This morning, your union sent a news release to media – which is also posted on our website – talking about the added increase of abusive behaviour towards transit staff, particularly those working in call centres and for the Lost Property Unit, during the holidays.
This was important for us to share because these are stories that we have heard from you – our members – and that this is an ongoing issue and one that the public needs to be aware of.
The story also serves as an important reminder to the public that MoveUP members play an integral role in the day-to-day operations in our transit system and help get people to where they need to each day even though they may not be seen by the public every day.
