Greenpeace – Bargaining Update #2

To: All MoveUP Members at Greenpeace Canada


Your bargaining committee is pleased to announce that we have reached a tentative collective agreement with your employer, Greenpeace Canada

Some highlights of the tentative agreement include:

  • 4 year contract
  • Implementation of an incremental salary grid, with 4% wage increases after every hiring date anniversary
  • 2% retroactive increase for 2019
  • Up to 15% wage increases in 2020, with higher wage increases targeted at salaries under the market reference point
  • 4% wage increase in 2021, 4% wage increase in 2022
  • Pilot implementation of a reduced work week model, with either a 9 day fortnight or 4 day workweek to begin in Q2 2020
  • Annual paid training entitlement for all employees
  • Ability to telework, and flexible start times based on case load
  • Compassionate care, gender transition, family responsibility and domestic violence leaves
  • Increase of maximum allowable severance pay from 8 week to 15 weeks
  • Improved OH&S and Duty of Care language
  • Equitable hiring principles

 

Your bargaining committee is strongly recommending ratification of the tentative collective agreement.

More information will follow with ratification details, including meeting date, time and location. The memorandum of agreement will be appended in the subsequent bulletin.
