FortisBC Survey – Vaccine Status

To: All MoveUP Members at FortisBC
We are writing to let you know that the company informed your union on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, that they will be sending out a survey to all employees of FortisBC Energy Inc. and FortisBC Inc. on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. The survey will have three questions regarding whether or not, you as an employee, have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
We were informed that the survey is voluntary, anonymous, and will be administered by a 3rd party and no unique qualifier questions will be asked, such as “where do report to work” .
As you may be aware the union takes its membership’s medical privacy very seriously, and we wish to confirm that this survey is strictly voluntary, and if you wish to respond, that is your right to do so, as is your right not to.
It is your decision if you wish to participate or not.
