FBC/FEI – General Wage Increase for LOU#42 Employees

2% Lump Sum Payment
and
General Wage Increase for LOU#42 Employees
We have been informed by the Company that they will be processing both the lump sum payment (January 1 to March 31, 2020) and the general wage increase of 2% retroactively to April 1, 2020 on the December 21, 2020 pay cycle.
It has been identified that this will be one payment and it will show up on an employee’s pay stub as a one line item, it will not be split up into two different lines.
The Parties have agreed that the effective date of the FortisBC Collective Agreement will be recognized as November 16, 2020. However, we will be dealing with the implementation of various articles as the administrative aspect for the Company is proving to be a challenge given the time of year. For instance, we are looking into how to address the Flex Benefits, considering that November 20, 2020, was the closing date.
