Ecojustice Bargaining Update: Parties Reach Tentative Agreement

To: All MoveUP Members at Ecojustice
Your bargaining committee is pleased to announce that we have reached a tentative collective agreement (MOA Available Here) with your employer, Ecojustice Canada.
Highlights of the tentative agreement include:
- A 3 year collective agreement
- 2.5% General Wage Increase Year 1, 2.0% Year 2 and 2.0% Year 3.
- Increase In Severance Pay
- Reduction in seniority required for increased vacation entitlement
- Increase to 2 float days
- Increased accumulation of sick leave from 30 days to 120 days
- Gender Transition Leave and Domestic Violence Leave
- Increase Pregnancy and Parental Leave to 18 months with prorated top-up
- $125.00 Monthly Transportation Incentive
- 5% wage increase For Associate positions after 5 years of service
- Increased benefit coverage for Psychologists\Social Workers from $500 to $1500 annually
- Increased Eye Examination Coverage For Dependents and Spouses
Your bargaining committee is recommending ratification of the tentative collective agreement.
We will be conducting a ratification vote on site in the boardroom on October 24th at 12 PM. We will review the MOA, answer any questions, and provide you with a ballot to vote on the ratification of the document. Please make every effort to attend.
