CUPE BC and Locals – Bargaining Update #1

To: All MoveUP Members at CUPEBC and Locals

We met with the employer to exchange proposals and discuss housekeeping items on April 13. The parties have submitted positions on a number of non-monetary items.

A significant portion of our proposed amendments involve direct monetary benefits to you based on the feedback you provided in our survey. We anticipate we will be tabling and discussing monetary packages at our next bargaining date on May 4.

We’re hopeful that bargaining will move more smoothly than our last round, and we’ll keep you posted throughout the process.
