Contested By-Election Going to A Vote – Executive Councillor Area #1628

To: All MoveUP members at ICBC EC Area #1628
EC Area #1628 represents members employed at ICBC at Coquitlam Claims Centre.
Term Ending: April 30, 2023
In the recent by-election, the deadline for nomination forms to be received by the Returning Officer was Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 4:30 p.m. At that time, nomination forms to fill the above position were received from the following members:
- Khaleel Jessa
- Shelly Beagle
Balloting will be done by electronic vote.

HOW TO VOTE
In order to vote electronically, you must have previously logged onto the MoveUP Member Portal and pre-registered an account with your membership ID number and a personal email address. Once you have set up your account, you can make updates to your MoveUP membership file. If you have recently changed work locations, please ensure that this information is updated on your Member Portal account right away as the ballot will include candidates for EC areas from your last known work address. This will ensure your name is on the voter’s list.
If you have questions or you do not know what your membership ID number is, contact our membership department staff at membership@moveuptogether.ca.
If you do need to update your work location and/or require your membership ID number, you will have until 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30 to complete this process.
The website goes live for voting to begin on Friday, April 2 at 8:30 a.m.
You can cast your vote by logging onto the Member Portal anytime from that date until the deadline, which is 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 23, 2021.
To vote you log onto the Member Portal with your username and password. On the main page of the portal will be a voting icon where you will click and the ballot with the candidate list will appear. Your password log-in ensures a safe and secure voting process.
If you are already registered and know your membership ID, you can log onto the Member Portal any time after voting begins up to the deadline to vote.
IMPORTANT DEADLINES
- Member Portal account updated and/or set up by 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2021
- Voting starts 8:30 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2021
- Voting deadline is 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2021
