Coast Mountain Bus – COVID-19- Mitigation Discussions – Update #2 – March 19, 2020

March 19, 2020

To: All MoveUP members at Coast Mountain Bus

Members with family members who travelled outside of Canada should follow the following protocol at CMBC:

Employee Did Not Travel Outside of Canada But Spouse/Family Member Who Lives with Employee Returned to Canada After 8pm Friday March 13, 2020 (Excludes family members returning from China, Italy and Iran prior to Mar 13 -> Ee would then self-isolate for 14 days in that scenario)

As you were not the person travelling outside of Canada, you are not expected to self-isolate, however you should monitor your health and if you start to experience respiratory symptoms (e.g., cough, fever, difficulty breathing etc.) or if you are medically advised by a doctor, health authority or BC Health Link line at 8-1-1 to self-isolate, please do not come to work.  If they recommend that you self-isolate for 14 days, please follow their recommendations, otherwise please return to work when your symptoms have resolved or you have been medically cleared to return.  In any of those scenarios, please contact your manager and the Occupational Health Group.

Also, CMBC is asking employees to not contact Human Resources about these matters.

·         CMBC has set up an email for Occupational Health and HR related inquiries:  COVID19inquiries@coastmountainbus.com
·         Members should keep checking MyCMBC for updates.
·         Members should keep checking bulletin boards

For more information, please speak with your supervisor/manager or email our Occupational Health team at occupationalhealthgroup@translink.ca or call  the CMBC Hotline at 778.376.7222.

In solidarity,

Parm Sandhar
Union Representative
