Coast Mountain Bus Company – Collective Bargaining and Retroactive Pay Update

MoveUP would like to once again thank you for your participation in the collective bargaining process. The input and support received from members played a crucial role in achieving the results that we did at the bargaining table.
Your union and the employer are in the final stages of approving the collective agreement. Once this is completed, we will let everyone know when the new agreement is posted on the MoveUP website.
We reported earlier that retroactive payments would be finalized and paid out on the November 3rd paycheques. Some of you may be aware that there was coding error made while updating the payroll process and this would likely delay the retroactive payments until November 17th. We asked if the error could be corrected after the retroactive payments were made and we were advised that this would not be possible. We also asked if more hours could be worked by the compensation department in order to maintain the schedule. We were further advised that compensation is already working the maximum amount of hours they can handle.
We continued to hope for a miracle but unfortunately the end result is that the retroactive payments will paid out on the November 17th paycheques. Apologies to anyone inconvenienced by this unfortunate turn of events.
