CMBC – Your Job Evaluation Review Officers

To: All MoveUP Members at CMBC
In recent months several of you have contacted your union regarding job evaluation questions. Job evaluation is the process by which job descriptions are established and accompanying rates of pay are set. It could be that your job description is old, or you feel it is out of date. It could be that you just have questions about the process, and how the rate of pay for a job is established. The answers to these questions can be found in Article 5 of your collective agreement. However, Article 5 also provides for the appointment of Job Evaluation Review Officers. These are employees who have received training and are appointed to assist members of our union with job evaluation issues and questions.
For Coast Mountain Bus the Job Evaluation Review Officers are Vayia Platko, Frances Soucie, Alvin Prasad and Petro Koromvokis.
You can contact any one of these individuals if you have questions about job evaluation or are considering initiating one for your own job. They will work with the employer and our union office to carry your job evaluation from start to finish.
