CMBC – Unifor Bargaining – Update #1

To: All MoveUP Members at CMBC
Yesterday MoveUP was notified by the labour relations department at Coast Mountain Bus Company (CMBC) that collective bargaining talks between Unifor locals 111, 2200 and CMBC are currently at an impasse. Unifor has walked away from the table and will conducting a strike vote scheduled for Thursday, October 10th, 2019.
MoveUP does not have any further information regarding the discussions between Unifor and CMBC nor the reason for impasse. Unifor is mandated by the BC Labour Relations Code to provide 72 hrs strike notice before any legal job action can be taken.
We will advise you with more information as it becomes available. Should you have any questions, please contact your job steward or union representative.
