CMBC- EFAP and Credit Monitoring Reminders

April 28, 2021

To: All MoveUP members at Coast Mountain Bus

As you are aware your Union has filed a policy grievance on the ransomware attack that transpired in late October 2020. We are still currently canvassing the employer for dates to meet for a stage 2 meeting.

Your union is in continual contact with the employer regarding the ransomware attack.  We are advocating on your behalf to ensure we become aware of all relevant facts and that accordingly your rights are protected.

We are sure all members are aware that this is an evolving situation.  We are working to address issues as they arise.

Your employer recently sent information regarding the deadline to sign up for credit monitoring and EFAP for members affected by the ransomware attack, please see the attached information here.

You are reminded to:

Register for credit monitoring before April 30

The deadline for current employees to register for two years of complimentary credit monitoring is quickly approaching on Friday, April 30. If you haven’t already registered, you are encouraged to sign up for these services as a precautionary measure and to help mitigate any potential misuse of your sensitive personal information.

Note: the credit monitoring deadline for eligible former employees, retirees, and spouses is June 30, 2021.
