CCIS – Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee

March 15, 2022

To: MoveUP Members at Coastal Community Insurance Services

During bargaining, we emphasized the importance of having worker health and safety representatives and of having the joint occupational health and safety committee address any workplace health and safety concerns actively. If your workplace has more than 9 but fewer than 20 employees, you need to have a worker health and safety representative. If your workplace has 20 or more employees, you need a joint committee. You will find more information at WorkSafeBC.

If you are interested in becoming a worker representative, please reach out to me at cslusarenko@moveuptogether.ca.

In solidarity,

Christy Slusarenko
Vice-President, Combined Units
