Cascades Casino Langley-Bargaining update #3: We’re headed to mediation on October 23

Your bargaining committee has made the decision to seek mediation through the BC Labour Relations Board to secure a strong collective agreement for you.

We met with your employer on September 16, 17, and 18, but we felt the monetary offer they presented did not reflect the value of your work and the importance of what you do.

Mediation is a voluntary process in which a neutral third party, in this case a mediator appointed by the Labour Relations Board, assists both sides in reaching an agreement. Mediation is scheduled for October 23.

We are committed to securing a strong deal for you that reflects the value of your work and addresses the issues you’ve told us about.

We will schedule a membership meeting as soon as possible. Details to follow.
