Black History Double Feature

To: All MoveUP Members in the Lower Mainland


Please join Human Rights and Multicultural Committee Chairs Anderson Charles and Christy Slusarenko for an evening of film and conversation. In honour of Black History Month Capilano University is hosting various events all month long, Friday February 10th they will be screening two films “Africville: re:LOCATION: How Uprooted Communities Fight to Survive Series” and “Cool Black North”. Following the films there will be a moderated closing dialogue.

Event details: February 10, 2023 6:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Location: Capilano University – Main Campus – Bosa Centre for Film and Animation, 2055 Purcell Way, North Vancouver

While this is a free event and open to all, we would like to collect a financial donation of $20 per attendee if you are able. 100% of funds collected will be donated to Capilano University’s Black Student Union. To donate and RSVP please follow this link.
