BC Hydro and Powertech Labs Bulletin Re: Resolutions to Outstanding Issues Related to Accenture Repatriation

January 15, 2019

To: All MoveUP members at BC Hydro and Powertech

There were many issues that came out of the Memorandum of Agreement signed February 17, 2017 to facilitate the repatriation of services previously outsourced to Accenture. The parties have held several meetings to resolve the outstanding issues and reached an agreement on December 20, 2018. There were two issues that the parties could not reach agreement on, and the services of arbitrator Ken Saunders were retained for which arbitrator Saunders issued a decision. To view the decision click here.

The following issues that the parties reached agreement are as follows:

• Reduced Work Week Leave (RWWL) days payout from Accenture
• Bereavement leave
• Article 9 access to vacancies
• Salary treatment on temporary promotion between MOU 85 and non-MOU 85 positions
• Probation moving between MOU 85 and non-MOU 85 positions
• Blue circled MOU 85 employees and non-MOU 85 that move positions
